However, Amanda Silberling argues that the unveiling of Liquid Glass gives us a peek into what could be coming in Apple's AR glasses that are supposed to debut in 2026. ๐จ๐ณ Changes in China: Nvidia's Jensen Huang said the semiconductor giant will no longer include the Chinese market in its future revenue or profit projections. This comes after the U.S. imposed licensing restrictions on Nvidia's H20 AI chips, effectively closing that market to the company. ☢️ Amazon goes nuclear: Amazon is the latest Big Tech company turning toward nuclear energy to power its data center needs. The company plans to tap 1.92 gigawatts of electricity from Talen Energy's Susquehanna nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania to power a chunk of AWS. | | | Image Credits: TechCrunch | | | ๐ฆพ Get it, girl: It's clear the engineers at Boston Dynamics are having fun with it. A crew of the company's four-legged robots just performed a synchronized dance routine to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" on "America's Got Talent." Technology is amazing. ๐ Can you hear me now? Google Search is experimenting with Audio Overviews for certain Search results. This feature was first introduced within the company's NotebookLM note-taking product and is available starting today in Google's experimental program, Labs. ๐ซก SV reports for duty: Last October, the U.S. Army Reserve put out the call for senior technology executives to join the Army Reserve in part-time roles to help with special projects. Silicon Valley answered, with executives from Palantir, OpenAI, and Meta raising their hand. ๐ EVs only, please: Zevo is a peer-to-peer car-sharing startup that resembles Turo in many ways. Not in all ways, though — Zevo is only focused on electric vehicles. The company was founded in 2021 and just raised $6 million to expand. ๐ฆ Apps for all: Bluesky is the most popular decentralized social media app built on AT Protocol tech but it's not the only one. We've got a look at the growing network of ATProto apps, from photo-sharing app Flashes to video-first app Spark, and more. | | | ๐ Surveillance state: The Trump administration sent federal military resources to Los Angeles amid the city's protests regarding ICE raids. Wired reported that U.S. Customs and Border Protection is now flying Predator B drones over LA, further escalating the situation. ๐คจ Taking it too far: The New York Times has a wild story out today about how OpenAI's ChatGPT has sent some of its users spiraling into conspiracy theories and delusions.
