Gaming world responds to Florida shooting. It's The Daily Crunch.

The world reacts to the mass shooting at the Madden 19 competition in Florida, Facebook bans military accounts in Myanmar and a new startup wants to make organic food more accessible. Here's your Daily Crunch for August 27, 2018.

1. Gaming community responds to Florida mass shooting

According to online accounts, the two victims killed by the shooter were Los Angeles native Elijah Clayton, who went by the handle of True_818, and Taylor Robertson, a husband and father, who was known online as Spotmeplzz.

The shooting is at least the seventh mass shooting to occur in the U.S. this year, according to data from Mother Jones.

2. Facebook bans Myanmar military accounts for 'enabling human rights abuses'

The U.S. company said today that it removed accounts belonging to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and the military-owned Myawady television network.

3. Kencko wants to help you eat more fruit and vegetables

Kencko's thesis is that wholly organic diets are daunting to most, but packaging the good parts in new ways can make it easier for anyone to be more healthy. The company's first offering is a fruit drink that can be made in minutes using just a sachet, water and its mixer bottle.

4. Apple could introduce three devices with iPhone X design

It sounds likely that Apple is going to introduce three new phones in September — an updated iPhone X, a bigger phone and a successor to the iPhone 8 with the iPhone X design.

5. China announces transportation industry reform, days after murder of Didi carpooling passenger

Provinces and autonomous regions are now tasked with setting up passenger safety committees by the end of this month and ensuring that incidents are investigated promptly.

6. The filmmakers behind 'Searching' know why you're skeptical about computer screen movies

Director Aneesh Chaganty said he didn't want to make a movie that was just "a 90-minute gimmick."

7. Just another podcast Monday

In last week's episode of Equity, the team discussed executives changes at autonomous car company Zoox, while the TechCrunch Mixtape looked at a how a startup called Bungalow might make the housing search a little easier.
