Patrick Katz /Skydio | ๐ Skydio wants more: Drone manufacturer Skydio has landed an additional $170 million in funding, extending the $230 million Series E round it closed earlier this year. New investors include Japanese telecom operator KDDI and Axon. Read more ๐ค Merger time: JobGet, a LinkedIn-flavored platform focused on hourly gigs, acquired rival Snagajob. The terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but TechCrunch's Ingrid Lunden speculates this won't be the only consolidation we see in the over-capitalized gig worker market. This news comes as rival Bluesky is having a record week for new users.
