Bluesky has added more than 2 million new users in the past four days. Read more ๐ณ More engagement: Instagram is rolling out a new feature that allows people to comment on each other's stories. Users have always been able to DM someone their thoughts on their story, but now they can share those thoughts with the whole class. Read more ๐ฑ Android announcement: While we expect to learn about what's new from Apple next week, today we got an update from rival Android. The company announced it will be releasing a new operating system, Android 15, in the coming weeks. Read more ๐ฐ Proving PruVen: PruVen Capital, a VC focused on fintech and insurtech, raised a fresh $378.5 million for its second fund. The firm's first fund was fully backed by Prudential Financial, but the firm opened up Fund II to other backers in the insurance and financial sectors. Read more ✈️ Going green: Oxylus Energy is looking to make greener fuel for aviation and shipping. The startup converts CO2 into carbon-neutral fuels that can be the base for a wide range of commonly used chemicals. The startup just raised $4.5 million. Read more ๐ธ More money movement: Dubai-based Ziina just raised $22 million for its platform for sending and receiving money in the UAE. The company has seen solid growth and has solutions for both peer-to-peer money sending and businesses. Read more | | | ๐ฎ Gamers beware: Microsoft's most recent Windows computers include Qualcomm chips instead of those from Intel. The benefit to this change is that these computers have all the latest AI capabilities. The con is that these chips prevent users from playing certain top video games like Fortnite. Read more ๐ค Putting a price on AI: How much are generative AI features worth? A lot, apparently, if you ask Canva.
